Post date: Mar 12, 2019 11:07:03 AM

Next Meeting - Troop Meeting Tuesday, March 12th, 7 PM @ Christ Church Cranbrook.

Mr. Parish will be meeting with Life Scouts to review trail to Eagle. Scouts will begin planning next years calendar. Crossover scouts will discuss summer camp and work on their requirements.

Volunteers needed for Blue and Gold Banquets - Please see Mr. Heverly, Mr. Pullukat or Mr. Krueger if you would like to volunteer.

Church Closing time: The Church closes at 9 PM. Historically we have finished our meetings by 8 or 8:30. We have had a few instances where we get very close to 9 or past that time and the Church has kindly asked us to avoid those instances in the future. Please assist with this request.

Upcoming Calendar Events - Please check our Website for the calendar. http://www.t1005.org/

Kalahari Water Park - Payment link is available. Please pay ASAP, the outing is this weekend. https://troop1005.ecwid.com/Kalahari-Water-Park-Outing-March-16-17-2019-p132896673

Summer Camp - Invoices for summer camp will available shortly. Merit Badge registration opened March 7th. Please register if you have not done so already. Crossover parents - no need to register scouts for merit badges. This will be done with the troop.

Summer High Adventure: Whitewater Kayaking School / SEA Base

We need to start planning our Kayaking School trip. Please send an email to Eric Kravchenko if you are interested in going. Information about the school is here https://www.mkc.ca/ This should be a really cool trip. Siblings that are not in scouting are welcome. Cost will be from $900 to $1100 - this is for a 5 day trip so a very good value. The goal of the 5 day course is to learn to Eskimo roll, Read a whitewater rapid, learn paddling safety, technique and rescue. We will get to run rapids.

High Adventure Scuba Diving Trip - 2019 and/or 2020

We have an opportunity to join one of the Council's contingent crews, attending Sea Base Sunday, July 21, 2019 - July 28th. If anyone would like to attend, he/she should commit asap, as the open spots will fill up quick. If 2019 isn't an option, there are open spots for 2020 too.

If you're interested in this trip, please contact Jim Krueger.
