· Andrew K.

· Louis K.

· Neal P.

· Justin H.

Additionally, Summer Camp Merit Badge planning will be discussed. Parents are encouraged to attend to prepare for registration (see below).

Personal Management

At the end of the meeting the group working on Personal Management will meet to review the work for Week 2 homework. Approx. 8 to 8:30. (This is a makeup session we missed when the Library meeting ran late.)

Summer Camp Update

Merit Badge Registration is coming up at 8am on Monday, March 5th. More details will be coming later in the week, including your login credentials for merit badge registration. Remember Scout Parents are responsible for their own Merit Badge Registration.

You can learn about all you ever wanted to know about camp and more in the 2018 Leader Guide. (Merit Badge details (days, times, locations, pre-requisites, etc.) can be found on pages 18-32 of the Camp Rotary Leader Guide.)

Instructions on MB Registration are found here. You will get login information later this week.

Additional Info: Merit Badge Schedule, Merit Badge Catalog

Leadership Training

For all scouts in leadership positions, there is a mandatory Leadership training session scheduled for Sunday March 4th from 1:30 to 4pm at Christ Church Cranbrook in rooms 201-202.

Troop Leadership

Leadership is changing over the next few months and we are still in need of a new Treasurer. Please consider jumping in the fray and helping. The troop can’t be successful without support from all the families involved and the Treasurer is a very important position.

Sailing Trip – What’s New

1. For those that are already signed up, you should have made your first payment to Mr. Kravchenko of $150.

2. If you’re not signed up yet, but would like to go on the sailing trip Sunday, July 29 - Friday, Aug 3, please contact Mr. Krueger this week.

This is a very unique opportunity to learn how to sail a 52-foot sailboat, you’ll be steering the boat!

Pack 1709 Meeting – THANK YOU!

On February 22nd we had 5 adults and 8 scouts in attendance. Other than the intro by Chris, the scouts ran the show! A big thank you to Kevin for helping secure the robot loan from the Robotics Team and setting up the activity. Also, thanks to all the scouts who came out Thursday Night: Dane G., Chris D., Alex D., Ryan G., Kyle H., Lewis C., Kavya D.

Winter STEM Olympics – THANK YOU!

I don’t have all the numbers on the various activities, but on the sled hill we had over 60 sleds compete in the inaugural cardboard sled race. A special thanks to the following volunteers that gave up a Saturday to help support the event: Kyle H., Kevin W., Louis K., Eric Kravchenko, Nick S., Alan Simonelli, Alex D. Our troop alone volunteered 45 hours for this big event for the council. With BSA reps from across the state our Troop was well represented and recognized.

A current printable calendar is always available online via the TroopTrack documents, or follow and bookmark this link to the calendar.
