Summer Camp - Please let me know if you will be a part time adult in camp. I have heard from a few parents but we could still use volunteers. Those parents that will be volunteering - in addition to having your YPT you will also need to get a letter of clearance from the State of Michigan. https://www.michigan.gov/mdhhs/0,5885,7-339-73971_7119_50648_48330-180331--,00.html#Section_2 The easiest way to do this is to fill out form DHS-1929 and take it to the State of MI office in Pontiac and they will give you the letter in person.

Parents of Campers - Please make sure to get your Scouts physicals (Parts A,B, and C) completed. https://filestore.scouting.org/filestore/HealthSafety/pdf/680-001_ABC.pdf

Part C must be completed by a Physician.

Adult Leadership Positions

With Mr. Greenwood focusing on the Assistant Scout Master role we are looking for a new treasurer. We are also looking for a new Committee Secretary - Mrs. Heverly will be stepping down this summer.

Please see Mr. Kravchenko if interested.

A couple of announcements from Mr. Krueger:

Summer camp swim practice - we'll meet at the Bloomfield Hills Swim Club Thursday, June 20th at 7:00 pm. During this optional practice, Scouts will practice their swim strokes, including the elementary backstroke.

Note: This practice is highly recommended for new Scouts. All are welcome to stay after swim practice to goof off and have fun. When checking in, let them know you're with Boy Scout Troop 1005.

251 E. Square Lake Rd, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48302

Adult leaders going to summer camp - a BIG thank you to the following adults who will be attending summer camp (either full or half week): Jay Greenwood, Warren Hunt, Greg Kemp, Kurt Kostal, Joe Pullukat, Amy Simonelli, and Jim Krueger.

Help! If you're available to attend the 1st half of the week, please contact Mr. Krueger. 248-720-9815

Note: Adults going to camp, we'll have a meeting Thursday, June 20th after the Scouts practice swimming.

Old merit badge books / old uniforms - if you'd like to donate any merit badge books, uniform shirts, pants or troop t-shirts that you're no longer using, please bring them to the 6/11 or 6/18 troop meeting. We'll make them available to our troop members. The merit badge books will be added to our troop library.
