Eagle Scout Ceremony

Post date: Feb 22, 2013 3:06:37 PM

Our Oakland County Commissioner, Shelley Goodman Taub, is honoring T1005 Eagle Scouts, D.L. Graham, Blake Haines and Alexandre Mallebay-Vacqueur. She has scheduled a formal awards ceremony and the troop is encouraged to attend. Attending has a dual purpose: to show support for your brother scouts, and to help younger scouts fulfill some of the Citizenship / participation requirements for rank advancement and/or merit badges.

Wednesday, March 6

Oakland County Commission auditorium

1200 North Telegraph. Pontiac, Michigan

6:45 p.m.

Scouts wear Class A uniforms (khakis and dress shoes if you do not have the full Class A; no athletic shoes or flip-flops, please).

This building contains a courthouse, and camera phones are a threat to juror / witness security. Everyone should plan to leave electroincs home or in the car.

Agenda

- Call to order

- Pledge of Allegiance

- Opening remarks

- Minutes approval

- T1005 Proclamations & Presentations.(Plaques and photos).

The Commissioners would be pleased to see as large a turnout as possible. Scouts working on Citizenship in the Community, or would like to do so, are encouraged to attend. This fulfills requirements 3a & 3b for that badge, and helps with requirements 2, 4 and 6. Anyone arriving early may also speak with Commissioners before the meeting, or may remain for the meeting and speak with them afterward. They estimate the entire meeting will adjourn no later than 8:30 p.m.

Thank you,

Michael Haines
